David Hart began working with spinal cord injuries at Project Walk in June of 2005. He worked with clients of all levels and abilities to learn first hand what it takes to recover from a SCI. After spending two years there to become a level one certified CSRS (Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Specialist) he moved to Colorado to start The Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Project. Prior to Project Walk David served as a personal trainer for several nationally recognized health clubs. He has studied through several nationally recognized organizations including Apex, NASM, and The CHEK institute. David also has a Bachelors Degree from the California State University of San Marcos. He looks forward to helping you on your road to recovery.

Amanda Oestereicher is a University of Colorado Boulder senior studying Integrative Physiology and Pre-Medicine. She has experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and worked as both an EMT and an Athletic Trainer for the University of Colorado Boulder Recreation Center and the CU Women's Rugby Club. She grew up as an athlete and has a passion for exercising and health related medicine. As a member of the SCI Recovery Project, Amanda looks forward to helping clients learn, grow, and recover through a positive outlook on exercise, health, and nutrition.

Andrea West came to SCI Recovery Project from a background in the outdoor industry, particularly in leading multi-day wilderness rafting trips and ski instructing. These experiences led Andrea to an interest in teaching adaptive skiing, and she currently teaches sit-skiing at the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park. After graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in Environmental Studies, she worked at an international environmental non-profit and traveled in Latin America before returning to Boulder to begin taking coursework to pursue a nursing degree. While she's not in class, Andrea also works as a home-based caregiver for the elderly, is training for her second marathon, and tries to sneak in a ski day here and there. Andrea looks forward to empowering clients with the tools they need to become more independent.

Stephanie Rickert, is a volunteer at the SCI Recovery Project, She has a bachelors in Pre-physical Therapy from San Diego State University and began working with SCI's at project Walk in Carlsbad CA before moving to Colorado. She now works as a sales rep in the medical field for one of the largest providers in durable medical goods. She provides assistance to clients with various insurance and home equipment issues and also volunteers as a trainer and assist with various day to day operations.
